• Opening the Door to a Creative and Juicy Life

On a recent winter evening walk, I couldn’t help but take in the beauty of our lunar goddess as she began to make her way out of darkness and into her first sliver of light. It was a glorious sight! It was just enough light to see the definition of the moon in the night sky, bringing her out of complete darkness – but not quite enough light for the waxing crescent phase. It reminded me of those many times in my life, when I would peek my head out of that place of “not knowing” into the light of possibility. Getting a glimpse of the light, both inner and outer, always stirred an excitement within me. This is the beauty of the waxing crescent moon phase – a peek at what’s…

  • Using Vulnerability as a Measure of Courage

Being a spiritual artist involves taking creative risks. We’re often putting ourselves out there for the world to see – through our words, our art, and our creative endeavors. Some will love our work while others may not. But that’s okay. We’re not here to please everyone. We’re here to serve our creative purpose in the best way we can – through the divine gifts we’ve been given. And in serving our purpose, we’re often relying on the strength of our vulnerability. As popular author, storyteller, and researcher Brene Brown says, “Vulnerability is our most accurate measurement of courage.” It takes a LOT of courage to be vulnerable. When we’re vulnerable, we’re shedding our exterior layers – exposing the rawness of who we are. We’re being real.…

  • What Does This Blue Moon Have in Store for You?

We’re in for a real treat this week as we move into a full moon phase in the astrological sign of Aquarius. It will bring light to our unique path, allowing us to see how our own individuality contributes to the higher good of the collective. It’s a perfect time to contemplate the impact of your life purpose legacy. And because this will be the second full moon this month, it’s technically a “blue moon” which brings an energy of celebration. Blue moons are really special. They don’t happen every year. It’s why people say “once in a blue moon.” It’s a phrase that’s used to describe the rarity of an event or to refer to something that is considered “unusual” or“unique.”  And from a spiritual perspective, this moon phase…

  • Taking Life One Day at a Time

We’ve all heard the phrase, “Keep your eye on the prize.” This can be interpreted in many different ways – depending on what the “prize” means to us. But it usually requires some sort of vision that allows us to put a plan into place and the law of attraction to work. This vision gives us the opportunity to become more aware of the synchonicities around us – which hold messages from the universe as well as our inner spirit, letting us know that we are indeed on the right path. But when we’re in the middle of a difficult transition, it’s easy to get overwhelmed with the emotions of “just getting through it.” That’s why it’s important to take a deep breath, adjust the…

  • The Woman in the Moon

We’ve all heard the saying, “the man in the moon.” But what exactly does that mean? By using analogies related to the moon, what emerges after the “new moon” (the darkness of being in the raw) is the first crescent – a peek at what’s to come. A “new you” begins to emerge as life’s many layers are slowly peeled off – and we begin to see the brightness shining from underneath all the rubble. This is our inner light. All of a sudden, we become that woman in the moon – a woman with a very unique face, a face that we can call our own. When you look at a waxing crescent moon, you can see the tip of a face that’s beginning to emerge. The…
