You Are A Phenomenal Woman
As we approach the beautiful energy of summer, a time that brings celebration and rejuvenation – let’s take a moment to honor your WOWNESS!
We’ve all known phenomenal women. They have that special “something” – a glorious glimmer that brightens a room when they enter. Their smile, warm demeanor, or caring presence draws us to them. They fully radiate their beauty from the inside out.
When we experience our own “wowness” – we step into a whole other level of being. We feel fully connected to who we are at our core, moving forward in life with courage and confidence.
The world, its pressures, its nay-sayers – even the failures we experience, can easily cause us to bow down in insecurity. These things can lure us into feeling like we are not phenomenal women at all, just ordinary women struggling to be something that we are not – or can never be.
Yet our wowness does not come just from striving alone – or from achieving success in the outer world. Our wowness comes from painstakingly growing ourselves from the inside out.
And our wowness expands gradually over time as we quietly affirm our personal triumphs (both inner and outer) and celebrate the women we are. Our wowness takes hold as we become more comfortable with who we are – and more accepting, gentle, and kind to ourselves.

PHENOMENAL WOMAN
Pretty women wonder where my secret lies
I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size
But when I start to tell them
They think I’m telling lies.
I say,
It’s in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.
I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
And to a man,
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
A hive of honey bees.
I say,
It’s the fire in my eyes
And the flash of my teeth,
The swing of my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.
Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they can’t touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them,
They say they still can’t see.
I say
It’s in the arch of my back,
The sun of my smile,
The ride of my breasts,
The grace of my style.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.
Now you understand
Just why my head’s not bowed.
I don’t shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud.
I say,
It’s in the click of my heels,
The bend of my hair,
The palm of my hand,
The need of my care,
‘Cause I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.
*********
In this very moment, how do you feel about yourself? Are you connected to the beauty of being YOU? Are you comfortable in your own skin?
As Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”
You carry your own power.
And the more in touch you are with that power, the better you will feel about yourself and your life – and the more grateful you will feel about everything.
When you’re in a grateful mindset, you see the world through a glass that’s “half-full” – instead of “half-empty” – and you see loads of possibilities everywhere!
How are you BEING a phenomenal woman?
And how does that impact your path of life purpose path?

Wow Tina – this post really struck me – so difficult for me to embrace my WOWNESS and have a felt sense of being a Phenomenal Woman! I appreciate this because I have work to do. There is a sliver I can connect to and from here I will journal – come back to your post and sense whether or not I can embody my WOW. Thank you dear one 🙂 Cheers to courage and hey that is phenomenal isn’t it?

Wow Tina ! Such a powerful post and I really needed to see this today! We as women tend not to acknowledge our wowness! Thank you!

I loved this! I read the title and kid you not replied out loud, “thanks!” LOL I really really enjoyed this and seriously felt like you were talking to me. I had some amazing things happen in the past couple weeks that I have been so proud of and it truly felt good to sit and reflect for a moment on my “wowness”! Thanks for that, what a great way to end my day!!!! As always, thoroughly enjoy your writing!
