Where Are You Facing a Creative Struggle?

Spring came knocking at the door earlier this week, but winter refused to open it!

As evidenced by these ice crystals spotted around my local pond yesterday, there appears to be a real struggle going on between these two. And to add to it, winter has decided to give us one more snowstorm.

Yep, March has definitely come in like a lion – and may go out like one, too!

As a lover of symbolism, I’m always paying attention to signs from nature – and how they want to guide my creative process. So I’m asking myself, what wants to be noticed here?

As I witness the crocuses popping up through the ground – and admire the glistening of the ice crystals, I can’t help but wonder – where am I facing a creative struggle between two parts of myself? And how is this keeping me from seeing my larger creative potential?

In this transition between two seasons, perhaps nature is offering an invitation to engage with the “and” of possibility – rather than choosing between “either/or.”

These are the types of rich questions that we’ll be exploring in my brand-new Creative Moon Wisdom Circle – which I’ll be opening next month, just in time for April’s new moon phase.

Based on my highly-popular Creative Alchemy Studio, where I work with creative individuals who are bringing new bodies of work into the world through artistic endeavors – this new offering will be a group experience, bringing together creative souls who want to bring life to a long-held dream or a collection of ideas.

We’ll be gathering in a beautiful and intimate virtual setting for ten weeks – as we work through nine modules that will take us through the moon phases and into a beautiful process of creative self-discovery.

Based on the metaphor of the moon, I’ll be guiding you into a deeper awareness of who you are authentically as you reconnect with dreams that have gone unrealized, excavating long-held passions and desires – and weaving them together into a beautiful new body of work.

If this sounds intriguing, stay tuned – more details (with an early bird bonus) are coming soon!

In the meantime, feel free to use the journaling prompt above in your own creative process – and allow it to guide you to a powerful insight.

This was the perfect post for me to read, as I have been having quite a struggle to bring out a whole new layer of the real me. I had a manufacturing company located in a small town for many years, and learned early not to be at all controversial in public. Lately, I have been wanting to comment on and even share posts about the #nomore movement, and I realized that it was time for me to say who I am more clearly.
    Thank you for this!

“…where am I facing a creative struggle between two parts of myself? And how is this keeping me from seeing my larger creative potential?”

I love this question. It took me to a deeply reflective place having only read it. Your guiding light continues to be an inspiration to me.
