Giving Courage to Your Inner Voice
Imagine picking up the cosmic phone and scheduling an appointment with your Inner Goddess to discuss the next steps in bringing a dream to fruition.
During a full moon phase, the lines are clear – so feel free to ask for what it is you need and desire.
The Full Moon gives us the courage to bring our true voice to the forefront. It gives us the ability to believe in the power of our own authenticity.
Take a moment to think about your “life story.”
How has it played out – up to this point?
- Where you encouraged to take risks?
- Or were you told to “play it safe” – always making comfortable, practical choices?
- Was your voice heard and received with love and respect – making you feel like your opinions, your thoughts, and your emotions really mattered?
- Or were you silenced – making you feel like you weren’t worthy of having an opinion, a thought, or an emotion?
Now take a moment to think about the history of your “life story.”
- What messages did you receive around courage?
- What patterns do you have in your life – right now – that prevent you from fully stepping into YOUR courage?
As Oprah Winfrey once noted, “I was once afraid of people saying, ‘Who does she think she is?’ Now I have the courage to stand and say, ‘This is who I am.'”
What role will courage play as you move forward on your true path of authenticity?
How important will it be as you embrace the synchronicities in your life and embark on a journey of possibility?
What part will courage play as you step into your brightest light and shine like the diamond you are?
How will courage impact your legacy, both personally and professionally?
These are the types of rich questions that we’ll be exploring in this month’s Moonlight Journaling Retreat – where we’ll be dabbling with 18 different journal writing techniques as we journey through the moon phases during a real-time 28-day lunar cycle.
Come join a beautiful and very sacred circle of women – and dance with your inner wisdom as you explore the various aspects of yourself, your life, and your relationships with others – through the art of journal writing.

Wonderful article. My sister and I have a ritual of getting together on the full moon and manifesting our desires. We call it vitamin moon night. It always replenishes our souls.

You’ve challenged me to think about how courage has shown up in my life, and about how much I can own it and acknowledge the strength is takes to bravely step forth from whatever limiting place we’re trying to step away from.

Very thought provoking, I’ve had to harness my courage a lot over the past 3 years. Leaving a corporate job to coach full time, dealing with the sudden loss of my dad, and leaving a 6 year relationship with a great (but not right for me) guy. I knew I had to do lots of self discovery to step into my authentic self, because as you mentioned, I wasn’t shining my brightest light, and it’s still a work in progress. Great content!

Awesome post Tina, very thought provoking! For me courage is about letting fear transform me, so I can come into the right relationship with uncertainty. That way I’ll connect and align with my true self despite of what my conditionings are telling me.
I’ll use courage to make the choices that will make me stronger and so I can live in alignment with my true path. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

I love the cosmic phone call idea! I’ll be placing my call shortly. And I love the Oprah quote as I’ve been working on releasing myself from caring about what other people think of me. In the famous words of Popeye, “I yam what I yam”
