Taking a Stand for Your Own Unique Voice
Something that I see everywhere in our world is judgment. It’s heavy for a lot of people, and it’s heavy for a lot of our kids – whether they’re the ones being judged or the ones doing the judging.
Judgment stems from a place of fear – a place of feeling rejected or not approved by others. Judgment also comes from a place of “not wanting to understand.” It’s easier to pass judgment than it is to understand another’s pain or another’s lifestyle choices. This is where a gift of compassion becomes necessary.
I often wonder where judgment starts. There’s so much that shapes who we are and what we become – that we’re often robbed of our own authenticity. We’re robbed of our own couragegous voice that says, “This is who I am.”
It’s not until we reach a moment of questioning – a pivotal life moment as I like to call it – that we wonder, “Is the life I’m leading really mine?”
This has become my life’s work – with my clients, with my kids, with my close relationships. It’s my life purpose – to inspire authenticity in others while deeply cherishing my own authentic voice.
Oprah Winfrey once said, “I was once afraid of people saying, ‘Who does she think she is?’ Now I have the courage to stand and say, ‘THIS is who I am!”
This is a great quote for next week’s New Moon in Aquarius – which sheds light on our uniqueness and its impact on the collective. It’s an innovative energy, inviting us to explore new frontiers and new possibilities that are rooted in authenticity.
The new moon phase is a time of new beginnings, fresh starts, and “reboots” of universal energy. It’s ideal for claiming something that speaks to your true voice and to your heart’s desire.
How will you take a stand for your uniqueness in this new year? How will you choose to express your authentic voice?
And how will you honor this in others?
These are great questions to ponder as we move toward this innovative new moon phase – and immerse ourselves in courageous new beginnings that spark the uniqueness within and without.

As a lifelong animal lover and now animal healer, I look to our pets and wild animals as a beautiful example of how to live in non-judgment. A well-loved pet lives in a state of “THIS is who I am,” a state I help pets suffering with various physical and emotional issues return to. For people, it’s typically easier to judge other’s lives rather than tend to our own. The beautiful thing about the lunar cycle is that there is always the opportunity of the New Moon to begin again, just as with life itself. Another lovely model from nature.

Great post Tina. Finding ourselves and realizing who we are is so important for new beginnings.

I agree Tina then feeling judged or judging others stems from fear. It feels so rotten and doesn’t even provide much nourishment for growth other than to set the stage for us to experience it’s darkness so we can shine the light of our authenticity to burn bright and lead the way.

Thank you, Tina, for bringing this topic into the light. Judgment does come from a place of fear and we can so quickly fall into it, whether judging someone else or judging our self as not good enough, pretty enough, smart enough, whatever enough…..I am so ready to leave the judgment behind and live my own truth, and I want the same for everyone else. I will take a stand for my own uniqueness this year, and appreciate the universal reboot to support me in doing so!

Loved this post Tina! I started my journey on authenticity a year ago, and it’s been a beautiful journey! I could never live differently. It feels so natural and so right. So this year to take a stand for my uniqueness I’ll be hosting my first Telesummit!! woo hoo!! Thanks for sharing this beautiful post! 🙂
