• How Does the Full Moon Inspire Your Creativity?

For many centuries, the moon has inspired thousands of beautiful stories, songs, dances, paintings, and poems. Through its many phases, it has served as a muse in a variety of ways. What is it about the moon that stirs our innermost thoughts and inspires our deepest creativity? This poem written by Mark Heard, first appeared in his lyric collection, Eye of the Storm in 1982:  Moon Flower When the moon blooms Like a flower in the night Petals of Heaven-born silver light Its seeds ride the wind To the souls of men So silently There is a fanfare In the changing wind For those who will listen Beginning to end And the nightingale pleads For the well-tuned ears Of every man Oh the sun shines…

  • Finding Light in the Dark

Next week, we’ll be moving into another new moon phase which always brings a time of new beginnings. Where one door closes, another one opens. During a new moon phase, the sky is completely black, other than the surrounding stars. It’s the point in every month when the moon takes a retreat and begins to grow again, redoubling her light and reflecting new creative energy on the world. It brings to our awareness the potential that darkness has in shedding light on life’s lessons and the many gifts that would otherwise go unnoticed. The darkness of the moon brings an opportunity to reflect on our life’s journey by taking a closer look at who we are – underneath the layers of life. It’s a time to turn within…

  • Is There More To Life Than This?

There must be more to life than this! Has this thought ever popped into your mind? And more importantly, has it popped up recently? If so, you’re not alone! ~ More and more people are feeling deeply dissatisfied with their businesses and job situations, their relationships, their income, even their future potential.  They want big change, but they don’t know how to make it happen fast enough – or even at all. The great Nelson Mandela once said, “There is no passion to be found in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.” Like so many of my friends and colleagues, I’m going through some major changes right now, both personally and professionally. A lot is shifting within me and around me…

  • Are You a Changemaker or a Trailblazer?

As someone who has spent years in the political arena working on campaigns and issues related to the betterment of humanity, I have a full understanding of the impact of the changemakers. Many of them are humanitarian by nature and feel quite purposeful when they’re creating big change for society. They have a “fix-it” approach to solving life’s problems with a heart-filled desire to equalize opportunities for others. They thrive on working within a collective energy in an effort to push the human race forward. They’re often the “first responders” in a time of crisis, ready to share their best tools and practices for changing the current circumstances. I’ve also spent a lot of time working in the corporate arena, alongside people whom I would…

  • It’s Never Too Late to Be What You Might Have Been

“It’s never too late to be what you might have been.” ~ George Eliot Over the past two months, I’ve had many discussions with clients, colleagues, and friends who are at a major crossroad in their life, both personally and professionally, which is resulting in an intense period of reflection. They’re feeling stuck, confused, unmotivated, and unable to connect with what might be ahead of them on their life’s journey. There’s a feeling of being “a late arrival” to their own life – to a degree that causes them to wonder if they’ve missed an opportunity. Many are pondering an array of questions, such as: How did I get here – in this place of darkness, confusion, and wonder? I see nothing ahead of me,…
